Introduction

Welcome to Risks.io, the centralized solution for tracking your project‘s Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) in real-time. Born out of frustration with the constant version control issues and the limiting nature of traditional Excel spreadsheets, Risks.io was established in 2012 as an online RAID log for seamless project management. Our primary mission is to resolve the inefficiencies plaguing traditional project management by leveraging web technologies to improve collaboration and communication among project teams.

We are a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed to eliminate the need for multiple versions of the same document, eliminate the confusion about who has the most recent RAID log, and provide an intuitive, centralized place for all project team members to monitor, report, and make updates as the project progresses.

Our Journey

Risks.io was built on the expertise of project management professionals who recognized the need for a more dynamic and flexible project management tool. Our founder, Dale Hurley, brought his wealth of knowledge and experience from serving as the founder of Avenue Bank, the former founding CTO of CreditorWatch, and a management consultant for IBM and Accenture. Dale‘s passion for project management and the efficiencies of the project management office was the driving force behind the creation of Risks.io. Our journey began with the simple idea of improving how project teams track and manage RAID. The traditional process involved using static and isolated tools like Excel, creating barriers to communication, collaboration, and leading to data loss and poor record-keeping. Risks.io was developed to provide a more effective, centralized platform that allows real-time tracking and management of RAID logs, removing these barriers and improving the overall project execution.

Our Vision

We envisage Risks.io becoming an enterprise-grade project management software accessible to project managers at all levels. Currently, Risks.io is hosted and we are exploring options for distributing the software in packaged solutions for private hosting on private clouds. As we follow the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) guidelines, both certified PMPs and those without certification will find our software approachable and easy-to-use.
